Our story
We are a community of people who are rediscovering the faith of our past in God, enjoy his presence both now and forever more. We are discovering who God is through an intentional and ever deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. We are returning to the roots of the church and to the roots of community. We are following the examples of Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit as we live out our faith daily: interacting with each other and our neighbours.
In July 2003, 6 people moved to Wolverhampton from Cypress Creek Church in Wimberley, Texas because they asked the questions “what if?” and “why not?” What if a Christian community was birthed that embodies the spiritual disciplines of worship, and fasting, contemplative, silent and corporate prayer? What if relationships were more important than rules and regulations?
Early in their adventure these Texans found a small group of people tired of hollow faith yet hungry for Jesus. Realising they shared this same passion and vision the two became one and Vintage Faith Community was born.
Vintage is a young and growing spiritual community. We are Christ centred and yet we are open to all people of faith and all people who are searching for faith. We are living in a story that is still being written and we look forward to the new chapters we all get to discover together.
