What we believe...

The word ‘faith’ is a trust or a hope in something bigger and beyond us being applied and expressed in the living out of our lives. Faith is the lens that we view our lives through. In modern times, faith has been known more as a matter of the head. It has been about whether we believe in the “right” set of claims to be true. Faith is an issue of the heart, not of the head. Faith is not a set of beliefs that has no life change. Faith is what we turn to when knowledge runs out. And so faith today is expressed because of a specific time when God poured out his love for us through the person Jesus Christ.

What we believe

The Apostles’ Creed outlines the basic
themes of the Christian faith. It says:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of the heavens and earth:

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived of the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,
dead and buried;
on the third day he was raised from dead;
he ascended into the heavens,
and sits at the right hand of
God the Father almighty;
from where he will come to judge
the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit;
in the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the flesh;
and eternal life.
